Work and other activities
I work as a content specialist at Organisatie en Personeel Rijk (O&P Rijk), the HR service provider for the Dutch central government. In this role, I deal with online communications for 155,000 government officials. In addition to writing and editing texts for our websites and intranet, I have a number of specific areas of interest. These include digital accessibility and data analysis.
Previously, I was Director Communications at WageIndicator Foundation. In that role, I was responsible for all websites of this global non-profit organization. WageIndicator provides information on wages, labor law and working conditions to workers in more than 200 countries.
I started at WageIndicator in 2012. I was part of its executive team between 2021 and 2024.
I am involved with the local political party Student & Starter, in the city of Utrecht. I am eligible for the 2026 municipal elections, as candidate no. 35. From 2022 until 2023, I acted as the party’s board member of Communications.
Random facts
- I didn’t learn to cycle until I was 25. A year later, I cycled from Purmerend to Nijmegen to raise money for Stichting Eet Mee.
- I once scored 3 own goals during 1 futsal match.
- In 2014, I was accidentally elected to the participation council of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
- As part of the Rijdende Rijsttafel, I participated in TV programme Te land, ter zee en in de lucht.
